One of the hardest things to do is be vulnerable sometimes. Let's face it: it's uncomfortable! Your feelings are wide open, you're overly exposed, and one wrong word or act could rip your heart to shreds. So, we create this wonderful, comfortable shell of protection for those "just in case" moments. When asked how we're doing, we respond with an exciting "Oh, I'm fine!" when in reality, we're dying inside. We smile and laugh around others, but cry tears of unbearable hurt and pain when alone. And, unfortunately, we tend to carry that same mentally to our Father. He wants so badly to hear from His kids and know how their day is going, how they're feeling, and more. But, instead of truly telling Him how we feel, we give Him the "Oh, I'm fine!" or "Everything's OK. I have it under control" in fear of this same discomfort of feeling vulnerable. But, He wants that! He wants our hearts, not our empty words. So, cry to Him. Tell Him you're confused. Tell Him you're hurt.
Tell Him Everything, and give Him your HEART.
"They draw near to Me with their mouth, and honor Me with their lips... but their heart is far from Me."
Matthew 15:8 NKJV
